The Kulkan were a combative species that eventually abandoned their warlike ways.
While they were still fighting other species as the Kulkan Empire they created the Zeronites to maintain their interstellar missiles. After deciding to be more peaceful and became the Kulkan Collective, they changed their genetic research facility into Hippocrates Base, a hospital to help others. (COMIC: Sins of the Fathers)
