Korsta was was one of three lead vampires on-board a coffin ship in the Dark Times, alongside Drogann and one other. He controlled the common vampires on board the ship, but served under Friar Grystok and, by extension, the Three Mad Sisters.
Korsta helped capture the Ninth Doctor and Medicus Androkan when they boarded the coffin ship to search for Rose Tyler, who had been kidnapped. Although he immediately attempted to kill the Doctor, Drogann stopped him as he was needed alive. They then led the Doctor and Androkan to meet Grystok, where they encountered Rose turned into a vampire. (COMIC: Monstrous Beauty)
