- The Terrestrial Index identified the story's title as Shadow of the Dragon.
- Although still featuring on a single page of the newspaper-sized New Mighty TV Comic, John Canning’s artwork is now printed landscape — essentially creating an equivalent to the two-page strips published before the relaunch of the publication, when the comic was folded in half for sale. This significantly increases the number of frames in each episode.
- The planet Earthos clearly has echoes of Earth, while the Kling dynasty is reminiscent of the Japanese Samurai.
