Kit Pedler (Dr Christopher Magnus Howard Pedler) (11 June 1927-27 May 1981[1]) was a medical scientist, science writer and science fiction writer. He was brought into Doctor Who in the mid-1960s by Innes Lloyd to bring some "hard science" into the show. He is the co-creator of the Cybermen with Gerry Davis.
According to the documentary Cybermen: The Early Years, he also co-wrote The Moonbase with Davis, but Davis was uncredited due to BBC policy at the time.

Legacy[]
Kit's daughters Lucy Pedler and Carol Topolski shared their memories of their father on the audio commentary for The Moonbase.
Following his death, he and Gerry Davis were credited for creating the Cybermen for their appearances in the post-2005 era of Doctor Who.
