Kingdom of Beasts was a 1968 film in which Darry McEwan starred as the Ape-Man "Hermes". Its sequels included Beyond the Kingdom of Beasts and Judgement on the Kingdom of Beasts.
A remake of the film was released in 1995; it was cowritten by Michael Brookhaven, although he went uncredited. The Book of the War described this remake as "badly-judged", as its titular animal-men were "unconvincing" and its star was a victim of the Fat. (PROSE: The Book of the War)
