Kentish Town was a town located near London, a few miles west from Battle Bridge. In July of 1553, the Duke of Northumberland assembled his army in the town in support for Queen Jane Grey, whom he had forced to claim the throne of England. The First Doctor, Barbara Wright and Ian Chesterton tracked the Duke to the town in order to expel the Vrij from inside him back into the Time Vortex. They succeeded in this task by ambushing the Duke in his room in a tavern in the town. (PROSE: The Nine-Day Queen)
