Kenny Smith (born 19 June 1974[1]) is the editor of Vortex for Big Finish Productions.
Smith officially succeeded Paul Spragg as editor in VOR 65. Prior to that, he had written Volume 2 of The Big Finish Companion, and was editor of unofficial Big Finish fanzine The Finished Product.
He previously wrote the Daily Mirror's The Doctors: The Archive 50th anniversary special magazine released in November 2013. He also regularly writes Doctor Who articles for the Daily Mirror and Scottish Daily Record.
Smith is also the co-host of the podcast The Power of 3, which covers Doctor Who in all of its forms, and regulary has a variety of guests using Kenny's "bottomless address book", often featuring exclusive interviews. There is a regular strand, Optional Extras, in which Character Options' Al Dewar talks about creating the action figures. Co-hosts, or co-conspirators, as they are referred to, include David Steel, former Labour MP Tom Harris, Stephen Day and Dr John Bollan.
Kenny also co-presents the Pieces of Eighth podcast, which is solely dedicated to the Eighth Doctor, on TV, print, audio, comics, toys and any other form of media. His co-host is Rebecca Chapman.
