Kenneth Cope (born 14 April 1931[1]-11 September 2024[2]) played Packard in the Doctor Who television story Warriors' Gate.
He was subsequently considered for the roles of Colonel Patrick Archer and Gustave Lytton in Resurrection of the Daleks, Stotz and Krelper in The Caves of Androzani, Arak in Vengeance on Varos, George Ratcliffe in Remembrance of the Daleks and Joseph C, Gilbert M and Trevor Sigma in The Happiness Patrol. He is best known for playing the ghostly Marty Hopkirk in the ITC private detective series Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased). He also played Jed Stone in the long-running ITV soap opera Coronation Street from 1961-66, and again in 2008-09.
Personal life[]
He is the father of Bad Wolf guest actress Martha Cope.
