Junior Doctor Who and the Giant Robot was based on the original television serial Robot which was shown from 28 December 1974. It was written by Terrance Dicks.

Novelisation[]

  • This was one of two "junior" novelisations written by Dicks, which were essentially rewrites of previously published novelisations — in this case, Dicks' own Doctor Who and the Giant Robot — but aimed at younger readers. Only one other book of this type was attempted: Junior Doctor Who and the Brain of Morbius.
  • The interior cover title is Doctor Who and the Giant Robot: A Junior Doctor Who Book.
