He had a daughter named Sophie, (PROSE: The Novel of the Film) — or Kelly, according to another source (PROSE: The TV Movie) — who worked as a receptionist at the Institute.
He designed an atomic clock for the countdown to the year 2000 and the new millennium. The Eighth Doctor stole his ID at the party for the countdown and used it to steal the beryllium chip in his clock, stopping the clock. (TV: Doctor Who)
