Sir Joseph Mallard was Deputy Warden of the Royal Mint. In February 1814, he saved the First Doctor, Vicki Pallister and Steven Taylor from Ippolito Valzacchi and, with his wife Georgiana, accompanied them around the frost fair.
At the fair, Sir Joseph refused to buy a phoenix egg for Georgiana and invited their new friends and Jane Austen to their house in Devonshire Square. Once the Cinder was defeated, he returned home with Georgiana to allow her to recover from her ordeal. (AUDIO: Frostfire)
