Jonathan Pryce played the Master in The Curse of Fatal Death, a spoof produced by the BBC in the 1990s for Comic Relief.

Pryce has since laughingly referred to his role as a spoof Master as spoiling his chances to ever play the real Master.[1]

In 2007, Pryce played Sherlock Holmes in the television serial Sherlock Holmes and the Baker Street Irregulars, opposite Bill Paterson as Dr Watson.
