Jonathan Drew Groff (born 26 March 1985[1]) is an American actor who portrayed Rogue in the Doctor Who television stories Rogue and Wish World.
He was interviewed on the Behind the Scenes episode Rogue: Behind the Scenes and the Doctor Who: Unleashed episode Rogue.

Jonathan Groff had heard of Doctor Who prior to appearing on the series and knew what it was, but had not seen an episode. He was sent six episodes to watch by showrunner Russell T. Davies. He stated that while he knew it was a sci-fi show, he didn't anticipate how human and moving it is. He described Ncuti Gatwa as a very special person who was amazing to act with.[2]
