John Taylor was credited with "sound" for the first series of the supermarionation television series Thunderbirds. This included the episode The Man from MI.5, which crossed over into the Doctor Who universe by featuring an appearance by the Daleks.
Taylor was also involved in other creations of Gerry Anderson which shared crossovers with the DWU. He had earlier been credited with sound for all thirty-nine episodes of Stingray, as well as working as a sound recordist for several episodes of Fireball XL5.
Taylor's only other credits were on the 1980 film The Jazz Singer where he provided concert and playback sound, the 1991 film California Casanova on which he was a foley mixer, the 1995 film Hackers as a sound consultant, the 2000 film Red Letters as a production sound mixer, and the 2005 short Crimes Against Charlie were he was again credited with sound.
