Soon after getting a job at the Wenley Moor nuclear research facility, Dr John Quinn bought a cottage in Wenley Moor. After being told by Okdel L'da to find a wounded Silurian on the moor and bring it back to the Silurian base, Quinn instead found it and took it back to his cottage and kept it captive.
