Jim Callum was a member of Captain Hopper's crew which transported Professor Parry's expedition to Telos in the 25th century.
When much of the expedition was trapped in the cavern with the Cybermen, Victoria Waterfield fetched him and Hopper to help rescue them. He kept calling Victoria "Vic," which she didn't like. After the expedition was rescued, they were trapped by Cybermats; Callum shot and destroyed one.
He was shot and wounded by Eric Klieg, who was trying to kill the Second Doctor. When the expedition finally left the planet, he was one of the few men that left alive. (TV: The Tomb of the Cybermen)
