RealWorld

Jim Broadbent played the Eleventh Doctor in The Curse of Fatal Death. He had previously played a version of the Doctor in Doctor Who and Crayola a sketch in Victoria Wood As Seen On TV. This is included on the VHS release of The Curse of Fatal Death and the DVD release of The Greatest Show in the Galaxy.

The Emmy- and Academy Award-winning character actor has appeared in many popular films, including Iris and the musical Moulin Rouge. He won an Oscar for the former in 2002 (were Curse of Fatal Death to have been canonical, this would have made Broadbent the first actor to win an Oscar after having appeared in the series). Other roles in popular series have included Professor Kirke in the 2005 movie The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe and Charles Stanforth in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Most recently, he has played Professor Slughorn in the Harry Potter film series. He also played Roy "the Slag" Slater in BBC sitcom Only Fools and Horses.
