Nevertheless, the two were among the acquaintances Aesc invited to her own past self's funeral after one of her incarnations was murdered via booby-trapped parcel, as part of her and her companionJason Jackson's idea of using the funeral as a pretext to gather all possible suspects in one room. The two obliviously chatted to the culprit, Professor Meistras, before the eulogy. Later, at the buffet, they bumped into Jason Jackson, whom they already knew; he was genuinely pleased to see them, making him feel awkward about wanting to sneak away from the conversation to try and subdue Ofelia, who he believed was trying to poison the scotch eggs.
