James Ellis (15 March 1931-8 March 2014[1]) played Peter Warmsly in the Doctor Who television story Battlefield.
He was previously considered for the roles of Halrin Login in Full Circle, Ranulf Fitzwilliam in The King's Demons, Colonel Ben Wolsey in The Awakening, Stien in Resurrection of the Daleks, the Chief Officer in Vengeance on Varos, Lord Ravensworth in The Mark of the Rani, Shockeye of the Quawncing Grig in The Two Doctors and Orcini in Revelation of the Daleks.
