The invasion of the Archive of Islos was an attack on Islos initiated by the Emperor of the Restoration in the early stages of Dalek involvement in the Kotturuh crisis. (PROSE: The Restoration Empire)
History[]
Prelude[]
A damaged Dalek drone was one of the few Dalek survivors of the Defence of Gallifrey at the Kotturuh crisis' end to return to the present. (AUDIO: Genetics of the Daleks, WC: Trailer) On Skaro, the Dalek Emperor received a message from this drone warning of the Doctor meddling in the Dark Times. Alarmed by the message, the Emperor decided to obtain more information to determine its course of action, targeting the Archive of Islos. (PROSE: The Last Message)
Conflict[]
Accompanied by the Dalek Prime Strategist and a Dalek Executioner, the Emperor led a fleet to Islos. The Daleks rapidly destroyed the planet's defences and began exterminating the population, who were sheltering in bunkers. The Archivians who maintained the Archive refused to surrender however, until the Daleks threatened to destroy the Archive itself.
The Daleks landed in force to claim the Archive, with the Emperor being escorted by the Strategist. They were met by the Chief Archivian which revealed the Archivians' surrender was a feint, with them having made a deal with an entity to save the remaining population and the Archive's contents in return for giving it the Daleks. The Entity emerged from a portal, (WC: The Archive of Islos) and forced the Daleks to retreat from Islos, with the Emperor and Strategist making for Skaro. (WC: The Sentinel of the Fifth Galaxy)
Aftermath[]
After forcing the Daleks to evacuate Skaro and compromising their reinforcements in the Fifth Galaxy, (WC: The Sentinel of the Fifth Galaxy) the Entity devastated the Daleks' forces. The Emperor and Strategist lured it to attack the Mechanoids instead, (WC: Planet of the Mechanoids) who proved able to send it back to its own dimension. (WC: The Deadly Ally)
