The Infinite was a two-man craft created by the Amstrons and J'arrodic for the mission to scout the unknown beyond the Gate of Creation.
Original Infinite
The crew of the original Infinite consisted of one Amstron and one J'arrodic. They did not return from the mission and were commemorated by a monument depicting them and the Infinite. (COMIC: The Infinite Astronaut)

Varying interpretations of the final transmission of the Infinite astronauts caused a long-term conflict between the Amstrons and the J'arrodic Federation that came to be known as the Eternal Dogfight. The conflict was following strict rules, one of which was that a ceasefire was to be announced if somebody claimed the right to seek and to see and to send the so-called Infinite Astronaut through the Gate. This mission could only be performed using an exact reproduction of the Infinite. In 2015, Alice Obiefune and John Jones were the first Infinite Astronauts to return from beyond the Gate of Creation.
