Ikona was a Lakertyan male and the brother of Lanisha. He rebelled against the Rani's rule, but had difficulty convincing the rest of his people to do so. After helping the Seventh Doctor defeat the Rani, he became the new leader of his people. (DW: Time and the Rani)
