Holborn

Holborn was a district in London.

During the London Event, a group of British Army soldiers made an ammunition run to the London Underground station at Holburn, but it was attacked by Yeti. The only survivors were Colonel Lethbridge-Stewart and the driver, Evans. Captain Ben Knight and Corporal Lane retrieved some of the ammunition and explosives from Holburn and tried unsuccessfully to destroy the Yeti with it. The Library of St John the Beheaded was located in Holborn, in the area known as the St Giles Rookery. (PROSE: All-Consuming Fire ^[+]Andy Lane, Virgin New Adventures (Virgin Books, 1994)., Millennial Rites ^[+]Craig Hinton, Virgin Missing Adventures (Virgin Books, 1995).)

A notable landmark in Holden was St. Joseph's Church. During the Second World War, the church was hit by a V2 rocket. However, it was not destroyed by the blast and was still standing in 1965. (AUDIO: The Fifth Citadel ^[+]James Goss, Counter-Measures (Big Finish Productions, 2013).)
