Her Own Bootstraps was the ninth story of the tenth season of Big Finish Productions' Short Trips series. It featured the Ninth Doctor and (briefly) Rose Tyler.

Extracting a dangerous Time War weapon from an irresponsible scientist, the Doctor arrives on Krakatoa in 1883 to destroy it. Problematically, the scientist is also in Krakatoa to steal the weapon. This is where she found it before the Doctor stole it from her. Trapped in a paradox, the Doctor must overcome a future he cannot change.
A future that has already happened.

- The author has stated that the final scene in which the Ninth Doctor brings Rose to meet Dr. Bryce takes place shortly after The Long Game.[1]
Continuity[]
- Rose mentions the drawing of the Doctor which washed up on Sumatra the day after the eruption of Krakatoa, to which the Doctor expresses mock annoyance at having to fake yet another piece of history. (TV: Rose)
- The Third Doctor also recalled being present during Krakatoa eruption of 1883 (TV: Inferno) and the Tenth Doctor was present as well. (COMIC: Under the Volcano)
