Henry Tudor was the victor of the Battle of Bosworth in 1485. He claimed the crown of England on that battlefield after Richard III of England was killed in the battle. The fact that the corpse was actually that of William Shakespeare made little difference to the progress of history, since everyone believed it was the Richard. Tudor was the grandfather of Elizabeth I. (AUDIO: The Kingmaker) He reigned from 1485 to 1509. He had four children, namely Henry VIII, Arthur Tudor, Margaret Tudor and Mary Tudor. (TV: The Coach with the Dragon Tattoo) Behind the scenes Edit He was played by John Woodnutt in the BBC series The Six Wives of Henry VIII, Peter Benson in The Black Adder and Andrew Tiernan in the 2005 version of Richard III. v • eThe Monarchs of England and Great BritainPre-1066 monarchs The Doctor • King Arthur • Egfrith • Alfred the Great • Athelstan of England • Ethelred • Cnut • Edward the Confessor • Harold GodwinsonEnglish monarchs William I • Richard I • John • Henry III • Richard II • Henry IV • Henry V • Edward IV • Edward V • Richard III • Henry VII • Henry VIII • Edward VI • Jane Grey • Mary I • Elizabeth I • James I • Charles I Lord Protector Oliver Cromwell • Richard Cromwell Charles II • James II • Mary II & William III • AnneBritish monarchs Anne • George I • George II • George III • George IV • Victoria • Edward VII • George V • Edward VIII • George VI • Elizabeth II • Charles III • William V • Henry XII • Elizabeth XAlternate timeline monarchs King Arthur • Charles III • John Hart • Edward IXThe monarchs are listed in rough chronological order by the time of their coronation. Please note that this template only uses information from DWU sources.
