The Fourth Doctor and Fenella Wibbsey followed a trail through time using a bag of items left for the Doctor by the Demon; it included a poster by Toulouse-Lautrec edited to feature the Fourth Doctor's face. They encountered Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec in 1890s Paris. Toulouse-Lautrec was rumoured to be murdering young women, as prostitutes and dancers were going missing. However, it transpired that it was in fact the Demon, disguised as La Concierge, who needed to feed off the life force of the girls. (AUDIO: The Demon of Paris)

- The cover of the audio story The Demon of Paris features the Toulouse-Lautrec's poster Ambassadeurs, Aristide Bruant altered to show the Fourth Doctor.
