Deadcoin is an exclusive crypto currency used by the world's governments to do dark deals. The ultimate weapon is for sale and Yvonne Hartman decides the only thing to do is to take Deadcoin down.
Plot[]
Yvonne gives Ng a presentation on Deadcoin, a cryptocurrency used for weapons trading, and informs her of an auction being held to sell Friend's ultimate weapon. Rhys repeatedly calls Yvonne on behalf of the Icelandic Tourism Information Centre to offer his help, but she ignores him and tasks Orr with looking into what Gwen has been up to and how the Tourism Information Centre is connected to Deadcoin and its missing founder, Dr Anya Belasco. She finds Tyler at a Torchwood safe house and offers him relocation, a pension and a new identity if he helps her and Orr on a mission in Carcassonne.
To get Tyler access to Deadcoin's headquarters, Orr dons a pair of sunglasses and a wide-brimmed hat to impersonate Dr Belasco, who has apparently wiped all images of herself from the Internet, and distracts a group of representatives. Meanwhile, Yvonne scales the outside of the building and enters via the roof after Ng and Mr Colchester cause a city-wide power cut, but she finds Belasco's office empty aside from a telephone which Kristin Magnúsdóttir of the Tourism Information Centre calls. Kristin informs her that the office will soon be stormed by security and invites her to talk if she gets out alive.
Escaping to a historic citadel with Orr and Tyler, Yvonne calls Kristin, who is hacking the Deadcoin server in Iceland with Rhys and reveals that she intends to fill the vacuum that Jack has left at Torchwood. She sends Yvonne the address of Dr Belasco's secret villa where Yvonne speaks with Friend and learns that Dr Belasco was an actress and that Friend has no intention of selling its weapon; the auction has been a ruse so that it can gather financial information on the world's governments and cause economic collapse. However, Rhys tricks a group of Deadcoin guards carry the servers into a van and Yvonne tells Kristin to hold onto them.
Orr asks Tyler not to leave Torchwood, which they were asked to do by Yvonne after making Tyler feel like a hero, after which they have sex with him. They can feel the darkness inside Tyler as well as all the other members of Torchwood and wonder how long they can all last, but Yvonne is unconcerned as Friend will soon be trying to wipe out the human race.
