Pike hired a clown, Mr Floppy Fun Pants to come to his Darius's sixth birthday party. The young Darius was terrified by his antics. He later said it was the worst birthday party he ever had in his life. (TV: Dream-Eaters)
Before 2048, Pike had reached the rank of Sergeant in the Metro Police. Like all the others of his profession, he lost his job to the CCPC programme. As the CCPCs were phased into action, Pike protested; he was dishonourably discharged from the police. In 2048 he and other holdout police officers were charged with trespass and resisting arrest for refusing to leave the last operational police station in London — the building later occupied by Alistair Gryffen. Pike described his actions as "standing up for [their] rights". Around this time he abandoned his family and formed the Last Precinct to reclaim their jobs.
In 2050 Pike led the Last Precinct's takeover of Gryffen Manor, where they carried out their plan to seize control of the CCPCs using alien biotechnology. After his ally Halloran alerted him that the CCPCs were no longer under their control, Darius convinced his father to let Professor Gryffen help stop them. Afterwards, Pike and Darius reconciled, and he was taken into custody by the Department, with K9 warning Inspector Thorne to treat Pike with the respect he deserved. (TV: The Last Precinct)
Thorne later offered to reduce Pike's prison sentence in exchange for K9's regeneration unit. Thorne deceived Darius, when they used VR goggles to see Harry, he was seemingly in a state of mental agony in a cell of "nothing but white", as Thorne said. June Turner revealed to Darius that Harry was in fact safely in a minimum security environment. (TV: Hound of the Korven)
