"Hangry" was a multi-function recycling drone who would consume junk, compress it and defecate it to be sold on as scrap. It had multiple settings of what sort of junk it would recycle, such as metal. It was powered by a nuclear core.
Hangry crashed down onto Earth in Little Smallington and was damaged and stuck on the metal setting for recycling, as well as having its nuclear core overheating. Upon seeing the drone fall to Earth, the Twelfth Doctor and Bill Potts investigated and saw it left a trail of damage around the small town. They teamed up with Katie and Mal who called themselves the Smallington Secret Squad. Together they baited Hangry with metal until the Doctor fed him a device which "dampen[ed] his appetite". As a result Hangry was extremely weak, but the Doctor patched him up by sorting his nuclear reactor and giving them to the Smallington Secret Squad as a new mascot. (COMIC: Loose in the Lane)
