Sir Hamilton Seymour was the British ambassador to the Russian Empire during the Crimean War (1853-1856). He was stationed in St Petersburg. In October 1854, he reported on the Seventh Doctor and was angered when he was to be shot. He helped the Doctor to escape imprisonment. (AUDIO: The Angel of Scutari)
