A Megallan guard assigned to watch over the captive Telian Ambassador Dea aboard the last Megallan prison ship was killed by the fallout of the battle between Megallan High Command and the other surviving Telians. His body remained on the floor in front of Dea with his handheld communications device switched on; speaking loudly enough, Dea was able to exploit this to call for help outside the ship, a distress signal eventually picked up by the Time Lords, who sent K9 Mark I to investigate.
