Grenade

An Overlord throws a gas grenade. (TV: The Mutants)

Grenades were a form of explosive weapon. They commonly had a pin release or were lit to begin the detonation sequence.

Instances of use

Captain Hopper used gas grenades to distract the Cybermen. (TV: The Tomb of the Cybermen)

British Army soldiers used grenades against Robot Yeti when they invaded the London Underground. (TV: The Web of Fear)

The Second Doctor was able to make home made grenades out of a medical kit for Jamie McCrimmon and Cully to use against the Quarks. (TV: The Dominators)

UNIT soldiers used grenades against Cybermen, but they were only partially effective. (TV: The Invasion)

The Second Doctor dismantled a grenade and used its explosive to blow open General Smythe's safe and get a map of the war zones. (TV: The War Games)

The Master ordered George Philips to kill the Third Doctor with a grenade. However, he broke free of the Master's hypnosis and exploded the grenade upon himself. UNIT later used grenades while battling the Autons near the Beacon Hill Research Establishment. (TV: Terror of the Autons)
