In April 1941, the forces of Nazi Germany invaded Greece as World War II spread into Eastern Europe. The British fought against the Germans there. On 19 April, the Germans outflanked the British on the Pindus Mountains and forces them to withdraw. On 23 April, the British Army began to evacuate Greece. (PROSE: Just War)

While on holiday in Greece in the 21st century, June met the Tenth Doctor and helped him defeat a group of aliens who posed a threat to Athens. (PROSE: The Slitheen Excursion)

In 2009, Greece, otherwise known as the Hellenic Republic, was among the nations which agreed to let John Frobisher speak on their behalf to the 456. (TV: Children of Earth: Day Three)

In 2011, Greece declared itself bankrupt during the Miracle, as did Ireland. (TV: End of the Road)

In 2016, Syrian refugees were transported from Turkey to Greece by the sea. (PROSE: The Stone House)
