The Great Wheel was a spaceship that was the home of the Amstron race after their home planet was lost in the early stages of the Eternal Dogfight. It was the size of a planet.
The Great Wheel possessed its own artificial atmosphere. In particular, it was safe to open doors leading to space. Transportation within the Great Wheel was often performed by means of thought controlled jet packs.
