Graham Crowden (30 November 1922-19 October 2010[1]) played Soldeed in the Doctor Who television story The Horns of Nimon.

He shared his memories of The Horns of Nimon on the DVD audio commentary.

He was previously considered for the part of the Fourth Doctor.[2]

Career[]

He is well known for playing Dr J. G. "Jock" McCannon in the BBC comedy-drama series A Very Peculiar Practice (1986-1992), starring alongside Peter Davison, David Troughton, Barbara Flynn and Joanna Kanska. He is also known for playing Tom Ballard on the BBC sitcom Waiting for God (1990-94).

Personal life[]

He was the father of The Sarah Jane Adventures guest actress Sarah Crowden.
