Biography[]
Residing on Skaro, the Gold Dalek received two humans whose spaceship had been captured, Space Pilot Commander Don Morais and co-pilot Zec, who were brought by the Black Dalek and the Red Dalek. Under threat of exposure to plasmoral constrictive gas, the Gold Dalek gave the pair the task of acquiring the doranium beneath Skaro's surface. They discovered a cliff made of the substance in the Valley of Rocks, but rather than let the Daleks have it, Don short-circuited the electric charges in the doranium and together they escaped back to their ship. Behind the scenes[]
- This Gold Dalek may have been intended to be the Golden Emperor, which was also called the "Golden Dalek" elsewhere in The Dalek Outer Space Book. However, it was drawn in the shape of a standard Dalek. There is no time setting given for when The Dalek Trap takes place, or any connections to other stories, so any inconsistencies are ultimately avoided.
