Biography[]
After the Goblins discovered the "chance of coincidence" surrounding Ruby Sunday and Lulubelle, they kidnapped Lulubelle on Christmas Eve 2023 and set about preparing their feast, singing a song about feeding the baby to the Goblin King. However, the goblins were followed by the Fifteenth Doctor and Ruby, who rescued Lulubelle by distracting the Goblin King with their own song as they made their escape from the Goblin ship.
The Goblin King and the Goblins fled, going back in time to Christmas Eve 2004 and instead kidnapped Ruby - eating her. The Doctor, finding himself in an altered version of 2023 without the presence of Ruby, travelled back in time and rescued her by using his intelligent gloves to pull the Goblins' ship down towards the church Ruby was abandoned outside as a baby. The church's spire pierced the hull of the ship and impaled the Goblin King, killing him and restoring the timeline to normal. (TV: The Church on Ruby Road [+]Russell T Davies, Doctor Who Christmas Special 2023 (BBC One and Disney+, 2023).) With the Goblin King dead, the Goblin ship faded from view, as though it had been erased from existence or pulled back into another world. Rumours and accusations circulated around the Goblin King and Janis Goblin, as people believed Janis was only successful because of her close relationship with him. In an interview released in an issue of Smashed Bits, Janis threatened to find the identities and addresses of those who accused her and feed them to the Goblin King to see if they remained talkative. The same issue also offered a guide on how to workout like the King and be as "hench". It also described Janis's "golden locks" being the highlight of the Goblin King's court.
