George was married to Mikhail Kerenski. According to Mikhail's brother Yuri, he "spent money like an idiot". One time, for Mikhail's birthday, George bought him a top-of-the-range car with Mikhail's own money, and joked to him, "It's the thought that counts." (TV: The Waters of Mars)
