Time-Flight does not actually specify his first name, but it's a logical conclusion based on the sum of the dialogue. No Doctor Who story tells the audience that he was a particularly renowned batsman, nor that the Doctor would have been particularly interested in the matchup between Wisden's bowling and Pilch's batting.
