Fleur-de-Lys

The reproduction Fleur-de-Lys on Oseidon. (TV: The Android Invasion)

Fleur-de-Lys was a pub in the village of Devesham. The landlord was a Mr. Morgan.

History[]

When the Kraal Chief Scientist Styggron reproduced Devesham on Oseidon, the Fleur-de-Lys was included. The Fourth Doctor and Sarah visited and initially found it deserted.

A large tradesman's pickup truck carrying Kraal androids, disguised to look like their counterparts from the real village, arrived and they entered the pub. After the striking of the clock finished, they assumed normal human activity.

The Doctor returned to the pub, having arranged to meet Sarah there. The landlord, Mr. Morgan, offered him a drink and he ordered ginger beer, which he duly received. The Doctor drank there with an android of Sarah, and he used the ginger beer to work out she was an android, as the real Sarah disliked ginger beer. As with the rest of the village reproduction, the Oseidon Fleur-de-Lys was destroyed when Styggron detonated a matter dissolving bomb. (TV: The Android Invasion)

Dorothy McShane and Will Buckland, her boyfriend at the time, stayed at the pub on Dorothy's first visit to the Space Defence Centre when they first started dating. She remembered it as "a good couple of nights". (PROSE: At Childhood's End)
