- You may be looking for the untitled Fireball XL5 comic story from TV21's 1966 Annual or something else.
An otherwise untitled Fireball XL5 comic was printed in TV Century 21 at the beginning of 1967.
This story crossed over with the Doctor Who universe by giving the DWU character of World President Nikita Bandranaik a prominent part in the narrative. In this story, Bandranaik is pressured by the World Senate to begin a war with Bereznik.

- One member of the World Senate suggests that homing missiles might already be on their cities.
- Professor Halgood claims to be on his way to Washington but in fact sets his course for northern Scandinavia in order to meet with Doctor Konevski.
- He also lies by saying that a piece of metal found in the wreckage of one of the research stations originated from beyond the Solar System.
- Matic and Venus use a smoke signal to alert Steve as to their location.
- After dropping bombs on a Bereznik base, Steve facetiously asks its occupants to send their complaints to Zodiac, care of the World Government.
Story notes[]
- This story marked the final appearance of Nikita Bandranaik as the incumbent World President. Its publication (almost) coincided with the conclusion of The Daleks, the main source of Doctor Who universe material in TV Century 21, by beginning just one issue after the final instalment of The Road to Conflict.
Continuity[]
- Steve Zodiac and the Fireball XL5 crew had previously defeated one of Bereznik's plans for world domination. (COMIC: The Black Ship)
