Vince Hawkins was the youngest of three keepers at Fang Rock lighthouse off the south coast of England.
Biography[]
Vince saw a light in the sky and saw it fall into the ocean, but his fellow keepers Ben and Reuben didn't believe his story.
He met the Fourth Doctor and Leela, who explained they had got lost in the fog on the way to Brighton. He told Leela of his loneliness at the lighthouse and he preferred the company of seals over Ben and Reuben.
Vince was uneasy as Leela changed out of her wet clothes in front of him. The Doctor found Ben's body and told Vince. When the lighthouse went dim, a steam yacht crashed onto the small island.
He was killed by a Rutan scout which had assumed Reuben's form. (TV: Horror of Fang Rock)
