Esterath was the controller of the Glory. He rescued the Master from the Time Vortex so he could participate in the fight for the next controller of the Glory. Esterath tricked the Master into thinking that he would be Esterath's successor and the Master created the events for which Kroton would become the next controller of the Glory.
