Edward VII

Edward VII, also known as Bertie, (AUDIO: The Death of Captain Jack) was the king of the United Kingdom whose reign followed that of his mother Queen Victoria. The Doctor claimed to have met Edward VII in Paris. (TV: Inferno) Before becoming king, he was the Prince of Wales. (AUDIO: The Death of Captain Jack)

According to Jack Harkness, Edward did not see the point of the Torchwood Institute as he did not believe in aliens. Eventually Harkness was able to convince Edward to continue funding the institute when he took him on a trip to Paris. (AUDIO: The Torchwood Archive)

In 1902, Professor Challoner intended to conquer the Earth and prop up Edward as his proxy, using Temporal Reversion Devices. The King and Balmoral Castle were to be abducted by the Judoon. (PROSE: Revenge of the Judoon)

Edward Grainger, who was born on 24 June 1906, was named after the King. (PROSE: Childhood Living)
