Edward VI

Edward VI was a Protestant (AUDIO: The Marian Conspiracy) King of England who reigned from 1547 to 1553. He was the son and successor of Henry VIII and the brother of future Queens Mary I and Elizabeth I. He died aged 15. (TV: The Coach with the Dragon Tattoo) He died on 6 July 1553 after a long period of illness. He was briefly succeeded by Queen Jane, who reigned for nine days before she was replaced by Queen Mary (PROSE: The Nine-Day Queen) on 19 July. (TV: Lost in Time)
