Edward K. Gibbon was the costume designer for the Doctor Who television story The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe.

Much of his practical education seems to have come from the theatre, where he worked on prestigious plays in the 1990s. His first television and film credits date to the late 1990s. From 1998 to 2006, he was generally a costume assistant or supervisor on one-off tele-movies and short films. In 2007, he joined the crew of Skins as a full designer. Before Widow, Skins was his major credit; he designed for the first five UK series and the first American one. Before Doctor Who, he also designed for the third and fourth series of Billie Piper's Secret Diary of a Call Girl.
