In Barusa's universe, Earth was often known as the Blue Planet. The Doctor was born, and spent his short first incarnation, on Earth before his "tragic" first regeneration, whereupon he was smuggled back to Gallifrey with no knowledge of the circumstances of his birth. Subsequently, the Doctor grew up with a subconscious longing to return to Earth, which he eventually fulfilled after he became a fugitive from Gallifrey in his eighth incarnation.
