Dr. Who and the Hell Planet was a short story published in the Daily Mirror. It was written by Terrance Dicks. It featured the Fourth Doctor.

It was later reprinted in DWM 550 for the first time since its original publication.

  • Dr. Who and the Hell Planet was first published in the Junior Mirror section of the Friday 31 December 1976 issue of the Daily Mirror.
  • This was the second original Doctor Who short story to be published outside of an Annual. The first was Doctor Who and the Daleks. The next newspaper-exclusive Doctor Who short story wouldn't appear for another three decades.
  • The story was reprinted for the first time since its original 1976 publication in Doctor Who Magazine Issue 550 (May, 2020).
