Dolne was an admiral of the Metralubit military at the battle on Barclow. The opposing general was General Jafrid. Despite being on different sides, they respected each other.
He was killed and then reanimated by the Darkness, who used him to escalate the conflict and provide them food. The Darkness attempted to possess the Fourth Doctor and gain access to the TARDIS. However, K9 shot and dispersed them. (PROSE: The Well-Mannered War, AUDIO: The Well-Mannered War)
