It's Christmas aboard the Doctor's TARDIS in 1972, and the Third Doctor has just unwrapped his Christmas present from Jo Grant; a home-knitted question mark vest. The Doctor, not entirely keen, promises Jo that he will wear it every day ("when I go completely insane", he thinks to himself).
